• 2025 Dunbar/McCoy Quality of Life Award

    The Laurinburg/Scotland County Area Chamber of Commerce presents the Dunbar/McCoy Quality of Life Award each year. This award was established in 1988, named for Wade Dunbar, Jr. and Mary McCoy, and goes to a Scotland County resident considered to be a civic-minded "unsung hero": a citizen that contributes to the community by giving his/her time and energy freely and unselfishly. To nominate someone, fill out the following form (feel free to add attachments) and return to the Laurinburg/Scotland County Area Chamber of Commerce by March 31, 2025.

    Criteria for the Award:

     Must be a Scotland County resident
     Must be civic-minded, an “unsung hero”, who contributes to the community by giving their time and energy freely and unselfishly.
