Shrove Tuesday (also known as Fat Tuesday), is the day before Ash Wednesday (the beginning of Lent). It is the day to use up all your butter, sugar, white flour and all the other fattening luxuries that you may refrain from eating during the season of Lent. The most traditional Episcopal thing to do on Shrove Tuesday is to have a big pancake supper, as making pancakes is a great way to use up all your butter, sugar, and white flour. St. David's Episcopal Church continues this tradition every year by serving plates in the Parish Hall for our Annual Pancake Supper. This one will be on Feb. 13 from 5 – 7 PM. We serve pancakes/butter/syrup, sausage, and spiced, baked apples, along with coffee and/or orange drink. You may choose to dine in and enjoy the fellowship, or you may drive-in and take your plate home if you are unable to stay. (beverages are not included with take out) The proceeds from the Pancake Supper are used to support part of the church budget. Plates are $10 each. Everyone is welcome!
